About the Author
jiggyflyjoe, or just Joe or jiggy if ya fancy, is an introverted and “neurospicy” web creator who is obsessed with getting his hands on and learning about the world of technology. Originally hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, he moved to a small town in rural Kansas in early 2023 to be closer to family. He studied for a brief time at both Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana and the University of Kansas before embracing his own self-taught path, learning programming, web development, and how to code via the internet. He is a tech enthusiast, digital tinkerer, lifelong learner, and he is, in his own words, “chronically online.” When he’s away from the keyboard, he’s also a devoted cat dad to four furry and adorable felines named Tigger, Rufus, Cinnamon, and Inky.
When he isn’t trying to wrap his brain around JavaScript, you can find Joe participating in gaming of all sorts—board games, tabletop games, card games, and especially video games. You can also find him hosting chill gaming live streams on his Twitch channel, where good vibes, engaging gameplay, and a welcoming atmosphere are the norm. Whether he’s battling bosses or simply chatting away with viewers, you can always expect warmth, connection, and fun!
Joe also authors Jiggy’s Journal, a quirky and heartfelt publication where he shares his thoughts, feelings, and opinions on tech, gaming, lifestyle, digital creativity, and personal adventures—sometimes serious, sometimes silly, but always real. Looking forward, he’s focused on leveling up his skills, launching fresh projects, and (hopefully) carving out a career that brings together his love of technology, storytelling, and online community-building. About Jiggy’s Journal
Direct from the desk of jiggyflyjoe, Jiggy’s Journal is my independent publication launched in February 2025. In most posts, articles, and essays, you will find casual humor, thoughtful musings, life updates, articles, and the occasional deep dive. Subjects will range from culture, technology, and gaming to personal stories, world commentary, and tales of my feline companions. New stories will come as often as I feel inspired to write, which is ideally about once every week or two.
Jiggy’s Journal has been through quite the journey in its first year of existence. I originally set up shop on Substack in February 2025 before I knew about their willingness to platform Nazis. After moving away from Substack, I swiftly migrated the Journal over to Ghost in March 2025, which was a much more pleasant experience. I had hoped to continue publishing on Ghost for years to come, but eventually found the service was too limiting, and in September 2025, I moved Jiggy’s Journal back to WordPress, the “old reliable” platform of web publishing, where our ability to customize and expand is considerably enhanced.
